  • 1998–2000: Meetings held in India (1998) and Cairns, Australia (2000) solidified partnerships.

  • 2002: A pivotal meeting at the Gold Coast restructured the forum into apfpm, with a draft charter initiated. However, the Federation became inactive due to insufficient momentum.

  • 2010: apfpm was re-established under the leadership of Dr. Bill Young, supported by the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM).
