About Apfpm Governance or PMO Recognition Award

Apfpm recognisers the critical role PMO and Project Governance undertake in organisations.

It is important we recognise and reward organisations for their efforts in building and maturing their Governance and/or PMO - Project/Program or Portfolio Management Office.

The apfpm award (either Goverrnance or PMO) is based on project best practice and is an excellent baseline towards recognising project management capability. By being recognised, your organization will:

• Provide recognition of your project/program/portfolio management office governance and processes.
• Join an elite number of organizations that have been recognized for their project maturity.
• Demonstrate continuous improvement in either project, program, and/or portfolio management.

Award Level

The award is issued to organizations that achieve a maturity level of 3, based on the 1-5 international maturity scale. This is a great way to demonstrate the organization's Governance or PMO achievement via external recognition from a reputable project management body that spans across the Asia Pacific.

The Application Process

1. It is the responsibility of the organization to undertake an assessment of their Governance or PMO (either Project, Program or Portfolio level) by an independent and credible project assessor (based on credentials).
2. The independent report produced by the Assessor is then forwarded to apfpm with the application form and payment of AUD$2500.
3. Apfpm will review the independent report prepared by the assessor/organizations, followed by a discussion between the organization and an apfpm representative to verify the report and results.
